Right out your door you’ll find a hiking trail leading to a view overlooking the ranch. And just a short drive away you’ll enjoy several trailheads for the Arizona Trail as well as miles and miles of Forest Service land. Bring your hiking boots and enjoy the beautiful terrain!
One of three guest houses on the 60 acre property, the Hiker House has been fully renovated and will provide a relaxing place to rest and reconnect to nature. We’re off the beaten path, thirty minutes from the nearest town, down a few miles of dirt road, and nestled in a quiet oak and juniper forest.
Sit on the porch sipping your morning coffee, read a book while listening to the birds, daydream as the horses and deer graze in nearby pastures, take a walk up the hill to enjoy the view, or just enjoy the calm, quiet, stillness of nature.
And if you’re up for exploring, you can venture out to the bustling little town of Patagonia, the wineries of Sonoita and Elgin, Parker Canyon Lake and several trailheads for access to the Arizona Trail - all within a 20 - 40 minute drive of our tranquil ranch.
The space
One room of this duplex style house features a king bed, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, living space and a private bathroom with shower. The second room is a slightly smaller space with a queen bed, kitchenette and bathroom with tub/shower combo. You’ll also enjoy access to shared guest laundry in the guest house next door.
Guest access
You’ll have the entire house to yourself.
Other things to note
In the 1960s a tennis pro from Tucson owned the property and ran it as a traditional guest ranch. He built two tennis courts - creating the Boot and “Racquet” Ranch. His guest casitas (which we now call the Hippie House, the Hiker House, and the Cowgirl Casita) hosted his famous friends…including Bing Crosby!
